Anti-Pill Polar Fleece Blankets

Every fleece blanket sold anywhere is described as anti-pill. It costs nothing to print the word, which is why the word tells you nothing. What tells you something is the pilling rating, graded from one to five on a standard test, and we put it on the quote.

Pilling happens because short polyester fibre ends migrate to the surface and tangle into balls. A properly finished fleece has been treated so that far fewer of them do. Three washes is roughly when the difference becomes obvious, and it is the difference between a blanket kept and a blanket binned.

Weight is the other number. Heavier fleece is warmer and hangs better; lighter fleece packs smaller and ships cheaper, which genuinely matters when you are sending three thousand to an event. We quote gsm rather than calling it luxury.
